The Utah Jazz travel to Phoenix to face the Suns on Friday with multiple players unavailable due to injuries and G League assignments.
Utah’s rotation will miss Georges Niang, sidelined with a left foot stress reaction, and several two-way players, including Isaiah Collier, John Tonje, and Oscar Tshiebwe.
Phoenix enters the matchup struggling with a depleted roster, as Dillon Brooks (core strain), Jalen Green (right hamstring), and two-way player Koby Brea are all out. The Suns also lack CJ Huntley, who remains in the G League.
Lauri Markkanen leads the Jazz with 34 points per game while Walker Kessler averages a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds per contest. Keyonte George contributes 22 points and nearly 10 assists per game, providing Utah’s backcourt stability despite roster challenges.
Devin Booker continues to pace the Suns, posting 29 points, six assists, and four rebounds per game. Mark Williams offers a strong presence in the paint with 13 rebounds on average, while Grayson Allen adds 17 points per night.
Utah’s recent form shows a 2–2 record with home dominance, going 2–1 at the Delta Center. The Jazz won a tight overtime matchup against Phoenix earlier this season, 138–134.
Phoenix enters Friday with a 1–4 record, seeking its first road victory after dropping three consecutive away games. Injuries have played a role in the early-season struggles, and the team will rely heavily on Booker and Allen to shoulder the offensive load.
Friday’s tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM ET at the Mortgage Matchup Center, with both teams aiming to open the NBA Cup West Group A strong.
