Jaylen Brown admitted following Sunday’s lopsided loss to New York that the Boston Celtics are still in the process of adapting to changes on their roster, according to Jay King of The Athletic.

Boston is working through an adjustment phase as new pieces are integrated and roles continue to take shape.

Recently acquired center Nikola Vucevic finished with 11 points and six rebounds off the bench against the New York Knicks, though the Celtics were outscored by 24 points during his 23 minutes on the floor.

Brown emphasized that developing on-court chemistry will take time and pointed to areas where the team needs to improve.

“We got to figure out the chemistry a little bit, the flow a little bit,” the player said.

“We want Vuc to be a little bit more aggressive, looking for him to get going and make him feel confident in taking those shots and where he can catch the ball. I think he’s still learning, but we need him to be aggressive. So we’ll make adjustments, we’ll communicate, we’ll watch film, and we’ll be better for it.”
