Jamal Murray gave the Denver Nuggets and their fans a brief scare on Saturday when he appeared to suffer a leg injury in the second quarter.
As reported by Luca Evans of The Denver Post, Murray landed awkwardly on his left leg while attempting to defend a fast break.
He was clearly in discomfort, limping noticeably and struggling to put much weight on the leg as he made his way back to the bench.
Though the incident seemed serious at first glance and appeared to impact his mobility for the remainder of the contest, Murray showed toughness and resilience by staying in the game.
Despite the visible discomfort, the veteran guard continued to play through the pain and delivered when it mattered most.
He finished the night with 21 points, stepping up in crucial moments and knocking down several important shots during the game’s closing stretch.
While the injury may have limited his explosiveness, Murray’s determination to contribute despite it was a key factor in the Nuggets’ ability to grind out a win.
