Jalen Williams scored 28 points on 11-of-12 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder rolled past the Phoenix Suns 136-109 on Wednesday night at Mortgage Matchup Center. The Western Conference leaders improved to 42-13 and closed the first half of the season with another efficient offensive display.

Oklahoma City controlled the game through spacing and ball movement, shooting 58.4 percent from the field and building a double-digit margin early. The Thunder led by at least 20 points throughout the entire second half after opening a 75-52 halftime advantage.

Williams added five assists and four rebounds while consistently attacking mismatches created by Phoenix’s shorthanded perimeter defense. His efficiency set the tone for an offense that produced 52 made field goals and 28 assists.

Isaiah Joe delivered a major boost from the bench with 21 points, knocking down six of eight attempts from three-point range. Oklahoma City’s second unit produced 74 points, highlighting depth even without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who missed his fourth straight game with an abdominal strain.

Kenrich Williams contributed 15 points and six rebounds, while Chet Holmgren added 13 points and interior activity that helped limit second-chance opportunities. The Thunder also received 12 points from Aaron Wiggins and Jared McCain as the rotation maintained pace whenever the starters rested.

The visitors established control with perimeter shooting, hitting 11 of 18 three-pointers before halftime. Joe led the surge with 15 points in the opening half, while Phoenix struggled to contain dribble penetration and transition looks.

Dillon Brooks paced the Suns with 23 points, attacking downhill and drawing contact in the paint. Royce O’Neale and Jordan Goodwin added 12 points each, but Phoenix could not recover after allowing Oklahoma City to extend the margin to 37 points during the third quarter.

Phoenix played without Devin Booker, Jalen Green and Grayson Allen on the second night of a back-to-back, limiting offensive creation and spacing. Despite the loss, the Suns head into the All-Star break at 32-23, remaining seventh in the Western Conference after exceeding preseason expectations following the offseason trade that sent Kevin Durant to Houston.

The defending champions won four of their last six games and continued to rely on ball movement and defensive versatility. Oklahoma City finished with a 37-43 rebounding deficit but minimized mistakes with only eight turnovers, forcing Phoenix into difficult half-court possessions.

The Thunder return home to face Milwaukee on Thursday night, while the Suns resume play Feb. 19 on the road against San Antonio. The result reinforced Oklahoma City’s position atop the NBA standings entering the break.
