The Detroit Pistons are bringing back forward Isaac Jones less than a week after waiving him, signing the 25-year-old to a two-year two-way contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
An undrafted product of Washington State, Jones played a limited but effective role with Sacramento as a rookie in 2024/25, earning a standard contract after starting the season on a two-way deal.
He was waived by the Kings in November to create roster space, then claimed by Detroit, though he appeared in just one game before being waived again as part of a three-team trade.
Jones has spent most of the season with the Motor City Cruise, averaging 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 26 G League games while shooting 55.7% from the field.
After waiving Dario Saric and promoting Daniss Jenkins to the standard roster, Detroit opened a two-way spot that will now be filled by Jones.
He joins Tolu Smith and Wendell Moore Jr. as the Pistons’ two-way players.
