Emma Flemming is the leading Irishwoman on day one of the Irish Open at Carton House.

The Dubliner shot a 69 today to sit on four-under-par, 2 strokes behind Swiss leader Chiara Tamburlini who is the clubhouse leader on six-under.

Anna Foster and Aine Donegan both carded rounds of 71 to sit on 2-under par.

While Sara Byrne is level-par through six in her opening round.
