The IRFU has warned players that they could be blocked from international rugby if they participate in the proposed R360 competition.

The big-money breakaway project aims to sign rugby’s top players for a worldwide franchise league.

In a joint statement with the unions of England, New Zealand, South Africa, Scotland and France, Irish Rugby’s governing body has urged players to ‘use extreme caution’ when considering signing up.
