
Republic of Ireland manager Carla Ward has hailed her players’ second-half performance after they secured a place in the top-flight of the Nations League.
Abbie Larkin’s late goal helped Ireland to overcome Belgium 5-4 on aggregate in their play off last night, and with it promotion to League A.
Belgium scored twice in the first-half to level the tie at four-all, but Ward says her team’s display after the break showed ‘what it means to be Irish’.
