Ireland Playoff Draw Takes Place Today

The Republic of Ireland will discover today who their World Cup playoff semi-final opponents will be.


Ireland are in Pot 3 for the draw and will be paired with one of Czech Republic, Poland, Wales, or Slovakia.


The draw begins at 12 noon in Switzerland.

Northern Ireland, who progressed through the Nations League route, will be in Pot 4.

Elsewhere, Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Women’s Champions League last night.
Alicia Rosso’s brace helped the holders come from a goal down to earn a 2-1 home win over Real Madrid.

Earlier, Manchester United’s 100% record in the league phase was ended by Wolfsburg.
United were beaten 5-2 in Germany by the two-time winners.
