Ireland duo through to last-16 at Euros

Ireland’s Jude Gallagher and Dean Clancy are through to the last-16 at the European Boxing Championships after wins in Bulgaria this afternoon.

Commonwealth Games silver medallist Gallagher picked up a unamnimous decision victory against Maksym Bocarov of Slovakia in the 60kg division.

While Clancy will face France’s Hugo Grau in the last-16 at 65kg this weekend, following a 3-2 win over Germany’s Mohamed Sialaa.
