The Atlanta Hawks have traded guard Vit Krejci to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for forward Duop Reath and two future second-round picks, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Sunday. The deal gives Atlanta added draft flexibility, bringing the team to seven future second-round picks.

Krejci, 25, is in the second year of a four-year, $10.2 million contract with a team option for the final season. He has averaged 9 points per game while hitting 2.2 three-pointers on 42.3% shooting, ranking him among the NBA’s top 20 in made threes.

Reath, 29, is on an expiring three-year, $6.2 million deal. His addition provides the Hawks with frontcourt depth and a veteran presence for a roster that is increasingly looking toward future drafts.

The move clears playing time for Atlanta’s backcourt rotation, which features Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dyson Daniels, and CJ McCollum.

For Portland, acquiring Krejci adds a sharpshooting guard to a roster led by Deni Avdija, Shaedon Sharpe, and Jerami Grant. Krejci’s 42.3% three-point efficiency complements the Trail Blazers’ offensive scheme, which ranks 8th in the Western Conference with 115.1 points per game.

Atlanta sits 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 24-27 record and continues to balance rebuilding with playoff aspirations.

Trail Blazers, currently 9th in the West at 23-26, aim to bolster their perimeter shooting and improve spacing for their core of Avdija and Sharpe

Krejci averaged 22.3 minutes per game for Atlanta this season, contributing 1.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds per contest. Reath appeared in 32 games for Portland, providing 2.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in limited minutes, mostly off the bench.
