The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to send guard Kobe Bufkin to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for cash considerations.
Bufkin, who was selected 15th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft out of the University of Michigan, moves on after limited playing time with Atlanta.
Last season, Bufkin appeared in just 10 games for the Hawks, averaging 5.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 12.4 minutes per contest.
During his rookie campaign in the G League, he showcased his potential by averaging 23.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists over 14 games, playing 32.0 minutes per game.
The trade allows the Hawks to create an open roster spot, giving the team more flexibility moving forward.
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets not only reach the minimum salary floor with Bufkin’s addition but also retain $11.6 million in cap space, providing room for further moves.
