Dyson Daniels and the Atlanta Hawks have reached an agreement on a four-year, $100 million contract extension.
Represented by agent Daniel Moldovan, Daniels’ new deal will allow him to skip restricted free agency in 2026 and remain with Atlanta long-term.
Daniels’ breakout performance last season with the Hawks played a major role in earning the extension.
After being traded from the New Orleans Pelicans, the 22-year-old guard emerged as one of the league’s elite perimeter defenders, finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year voting while also claiming the Most Improved Player award.
His offensive game took a major leap as well, as he boosted his scoring average from 5.8 to 14.1 points per game.
For Atlanta, the deal solidifies a key part of their young core, though the team still faces questions about its financial flexibility moving forward.
Star guard Trae Young holds a $49 million player option for the 2026-27 season, and Kristaps Porzingis is set to become a free agent the same summer, leaving the Hawks’ long-term cap structure uncertain.
