Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv has signed Kessler Edwards for the remainder of the season, adding size and versatility to its forward rotation ahead of the EuroLeague stretch run.

Edwards, 25, arrives from the Grand Rapids Gold of the G League, where he averaged 14.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.0 block over 28 games. He shot 39.7% from three-point range, reinforcing his profile as a two-way wing.

The 2.02-meter forward brings four seasons of NBA experience with the Brooklyn Nets, Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks. He appeared in 178 NBA games, averaging 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per contest.

During the 2024-25 campaign with Dallas, Edwards posted 4.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 15.2 minutes while shooting 49.6% from the field and 40.7% from three.

Hapoel enters this phase of the season at 16-11 in the EuroLeague, placing sixth in the standings. The club averages 86.3 points per game while shooting 59.1% on two-point attempts and 36.7% from beyond the arc.

Elijah Bryant leads the team with 15.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, while Dan Oturu contributes 12.9 points and 6.0 boards in the frontcourt. The addition of Edwards provides another option at the wing, particularly alongside Ish Wainright and Collin Malcolm.

With playoff positioning still fluid, marginal upgrades in perimeter defense and shooting can influence close games. Edwards will begin his European career immediately as Hapoel looks to secure its place in the postseason.
