Grizzlies outgun Wolves 137-128 to snap 6-game losing streak

The Memphis Grizzlies dethroned the Minnesota Timberwolves 137-128 after building a 20-point lead in the second half on Monday night.

Grizzlies’ Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 30 points, Ty Jerome added 19, Jaylen Wells with 18, and Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. added 16 points each as they maintained a double-digit advantage through much of the fourth quarter.

On the other hand, Anthony Edwards led the Wolves with 39 points and seven rebounds, Jaden McDaniels contributed 29 points, and Donte DiVincenzo finished with 21, including 13 in the fourth.

The Timberwolves had its four-game win streak ended.

Memphis used long-range shooting to build a double-digit lead in the first half, going 8 of 15 from beyond the arc, and the lead reached 14 points, 66-58 at the half.

The Grizzlies led 98-86 after three quarters and extended their advantage to 109-89 by making their first four shots of the fourth, including three 3-pointers.

Both teams will play on Wednesday: Minnesota will visit Toronto, while Memphis will begin a five-game trip in Sacramento.
