The GPA has called on Sports Minister Patrick O’Donovan to ensure tomorrow’s Munster Senior Camogie final goes ahead.

The two teams – Waterford and Cork – say they will wear shorts instead of skorts for the fixture, which means it may not proceed.

The Camogie Association will hold a Special Congress later this month to consider motions to resolve the controversy around playing attire.

In a statement, the GPA asked that the Minister request an interim relaxation around the rule that insists skorts must be worn for competitive matches.
