Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks has missed 10 straight games due to a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise suffered on March 15.

While the Bucks have held him out, reports indicate he has been pushing to return and has been increasing the intensity of his workouts.

The situation has drawn criticism from the National Basketball Players Association, which suggested the team’s approach could raise concerns about competitive integrity.

Milwaukee was eliminated from playoff contention on March 28, its first miss since 2016, and currently holds the 10th-best lottery odds with five games remaining.

The uncertainty extends beyond this season.

Milwaukee’s star forward is eligible for a five-year, $275 million extension in October, and if he chooses not to commit, he is expected to be a major trade candidate this offseason.

Antetokounmpo has played 13 seasons for the Bucks. He has averaged 24.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 895 regular-season games.

Bucks cornerstone was selected to play in 9 All-Star games.

He has won 1 Most Improved Player award, 1 Defensive Player of the Year award, 2 MVP awards, 1 Finals MVP award and 1 NBA championship.
