Former Monaghan footballer Eugene ‘Nudie’ Hughes has passed away.
An All Star on three occasions, the Castleblayney man had the distinction of winning awards in both the backs and the forwards.
He won three Ulster Championship medals with his native county and also collected a winners medal in the National League in 1985.

Hughes was diagnosed with cancer in 2018.
