This impressive figure marks a 19% increase compared to last year, signaling renewed fan enthusiasm and a strong network performance.
One of the semifinal matchups, Houston vs. Duke, proved especially popular, pulling in an average of 16 million viewers.
That figure is up 13% from last year’s UConn vs. Alabama game, and it now stands as the most-watched Final Four game since the highly anticipated Duke–North Carolina showdown in 2022.
The other semifinal game, featuring Florida against Auburn, wasn’t far behind. It averaged 14.6 million viewers, reflecting a substantial 27% increase from the previous year’s Purdue vs. NC State contest.
Looking at the tournament, this year’s event is averaging 9.9 million viewers per game, representing a modest but meaningful 2% uptick over the 2024 tournament numbers.
