Despite having a high salary, Evan Fournier has decided to return to Europe in the summer of 2024.
The Olympiacos guard has the highest-earning former NBA player, according to BasketNews.
After 11 NBA seasons from 2012 to 2023, Fournier has made it clear that he plans to finish his career with Olympiacos in the EuroLeague.
The Frenchman began his NBA career with the Denver Nuggets, where he was selected 20th overall, but was immediately traded to the Orlando Magic after two seasons due to limited playing time.
However, as his value went high in 2016, he signed a four-year, $85 million contract with the Magic and a four-year, $73 million contract with the New York Knicks.
Throughout his tenure, he amassed a total of $145.4 million in earnings in the NBA, followed by Davis Bertans with $84.7 million.
The 32-year-old appeared in 704 games, averaging 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, which makes him the highest-scoring average among all ex-NBA players in the EuroLeague.
Fournier delivered a stellar performance in his debut season with Olympiacos in the EuroLeague, earning All-EuroLeague Second Team honors and reaching the Final Four.
