Anthony Edwards scored 33 points on Saturday night as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 131-114 at FedExForum. The win marked Minnesota’s fourth straight victory and continued a stretch of double-digit wins.

The Minnesota guard shot 9-of-21 from the field and converted 14-of-16 free throws, consistently attacking the rim against a depleted Memphis defense. His scoring set the tone early and held steady during key momentum swings.

Julius Randle added 27 points and seven assists, providing secondary playmaking that kept the Timberwolves’ offense balanced. The forward scored efficiently and helped control tempo when Memphis attempted short runs.

Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels finished with 20 points apiece, with Reid pulling down nine rebounds off the bench. Minnesota placed five players with at least 20 points or double-figure scoring, reflecting strong offensive distribution.

Rudy Gobert anchored the interior with 16 rebounds and two blocks. His presence limited second-chance opportunities and allowed Minnesota to stay aggressive on the perimeter.

The Timberwolves led 58-49 at halftime despite modest three-point volume early. Minnesota opened the third quarter by making 12 of its first 16 shots, stretching the lead to 92-73 and taking control of the game.

That surge pushed the advantage to 97-79 entering the fourth quarter. Minnesota later extended the margin to 22 points with 3:46 remaining, effectively closing the contest.

Memphis struggled from long range, especially in the first half. The Grizzlies missed 17 of their first 18 three-point attempts and finished 10-of-37 from beyond the arc.

Ty Jerome led Memphis with 20 points and six assists in his first appearance of the season after recovering from a right calf strain. His return provided ball movement but did not alter the outcome.

GG Jackson scored 19 points and Jaylen Wells added 15 for the home team. Memphis dropped its sixth straight game and continues to navigate injuries and roster uncertainty ahead of the trade deadline.

Ja Morant was among seven rotation players who sat out, limiting lineup continuity. Those absences have coincided with the team’s recent slide in the Western Conference standings.

Minnesota shot 53 percent from the field and 49 percent from three-point range while assisting on 28 baskets. The Timberwolves also won the rebounding battle, a key factor in sustaining the lead.
