
Jalen Duren returned from an ankle injury with 31 points and 15 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons beat the Indiana Pacers 127-112 on Monday night at Little Caesars Arena.
Detroit improved to 12-2 and secured its 10th straight win, marking the franchise’s longest run since the 2007-08 season.
Duren shot 12-for-13 from the field and added three assists in 29 minutes, giving the Pistons a dominant presence inside despite several absences.
Daniss Jenkins contributed 26 points and eight assists, continuing his steady play as Detroit navigates injuries to Cade Cunningham, Tobias Harris and Ausar Thompson.
The Pacers dropped to 1-13 and suffered their eighth consecutive loss, remaining winless on the road.
Pascal Siakam finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds while Benedict Mathurin added 25, but Indiana could not match Detroit’s scoring depth.
Detroit had 10 players score, with Javonte Green supplying 20 points off the bench and Duncan Robinson adding 13.
The Pistons took control early, going ahead for good when Robinson hit a 3-pointer with seven minutes left in the first quarter.
Indiana cut the deficit to five after one, helped by 3-pointers from Siakam and Jay Huff.
Detroit opened the second quarter on a 20-4 run, pushing the lead to 46-27 as Duren scored eight during that stretch.
Indiana responded with a 12-0 run, trimming the margin to seven on an Andrew Nembhard 3-pointer, but Detroit closed the half up 62-46.
The Pacers outscored the Pistons 56-55 in the second half, yet the early deficit proved too large.
Detroit shot 55% from the field and dominated the glass with 43 rebounds.
Robinson hit three 3-pointers, and Isaiah Stewart contributed 10 points, two 3-pointers and six rebounds.
Mathurin and Siakam combined for 54 points, but Indiana struggled from deep, finishing 9-for-31 from beyond the arc.
Indiana also committed 21 turnovers, leading to 27 Detroit points.
Jenkins led the guards with 11 made field goals and three free throws, consistently attacking the lane.
Detroit reached 12 wins before any other Eastern Conference team, strengthening its position among the top early-season contenders.
Indiana, last year’s East finalist, remains in a prolonged slide, now facing its worst start in more than a decade.
