DeMar DeRozan recently acknowledged that he’s unsure about his long-term future with the Kings, making those remarks after Sacramento dropped its eighth straight game on Thursday.
When the team bounced back with a win in Denver on Saturday, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee asked head coach Doug Christie to respond to DeRozan’s comments and to explain how he manages those kinds of situations.
Christie said he approaches those conversations directly and with openness, given his own experience as a former player.
“When it comes to the business of basketball, I talk to all of our players,” the coach said. “So I’m open to any of that communication, because they know I’ve been through it before. I understand.
