Devin Booker delivered in the clutch on Monday night, sinking a mid-range jumper with 2.4 seconds left to lift the Phoenix Suns past the Milwaukee Bucks 108-106.

After the game, Booker revealed that the play was originally designed for Kevin Durant, referencing a set they ran during the Olympics. “The play was for K, the play that we ran in Paris this summer right before halftime in his first game back,” Booker said, via Gerard Borguet.

Booker admitted he had not reviewed the footage but credited his teammates for creating the opportunity. “I haven’t watched it back yet, so I don’t know if they denied him, but Royce [O’Neale] came to me, Oso [Ighodaro] set a great screen, and just hit the shot,” he added.

Durant led Phoenix with 38 points, while Booker finished with 19, including the decisive basket. The win marked the Suns’ fourth straight victory as they continue battling for a Western Conference play-in spot.

Milwaukee had a chance to force overtime, but Brook Lopez missed a turnaround jumper at the buzzer. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 31 points, while Lopez added 23 in the loss.

The Bucks briefly took the lead late when Kyle Kuzma completed a four-point play with 1:22 remaining, putting them ahead 105-103. Durant responded with a three-pointer, and Lopez split free throws before Booker’s game-winner sealed the outcome.

Phoenix dominated the glass with a 52-36 rebounding advantage, getting key contributions from Nick Richards and rookie Ryan Dunn. Dunn also provided a highlight moment with a one-handed dunk over Antetokounmpo in the third quarter.

The victory improved the Suns to 35-37, keeping them in the final play-in spot with 10 games left. Milwaukee fell to 40-31 and remains in a tight race for Eastern Conference playoff seeding.
