Devin Booker is expected to secure a two-year, $150 million contract extension starting July 6, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. The 28-year-old guard is entering the second year of his current four-year, $220 million deal.
Booker averaged 25.6 points, 7.1 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game this season while shooting 46.1% from the field. His consistent performance remains central to the Phoenix Suns’ plans.
The Suns recently completed a coaching search, hiring Jordan Ott, a former Cleveland Cavaliers assistant. Booker played a key role in the process, endorsing Ott as his preferred candidate.
Ott’s arrival follows a 36–46 season for Phoenix, which missed the playoffs for the first time since 2020. The new coach inherits a roster featuring Booker alongside Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.
Durant is expected to be traded by Phoenix before the NBA Draft, but Booker remains the team’s cornerstone. The extension signals the franchise’s commitment to building around him.
Booker’s new deal will provide the Suns with salary cap flexibility while ensuring the star guard remains part of the core heading into upcoming seasons.
