Men’s top seed Jannik Sinner eased through against fellow Italian Luca Nardi in straight sets.

Seventh seed Lorenzo Musetti suffered a shock opening-round defeat to Niko Basilashvili of Georgia, losing by 3 sets to 1.

Third seed Alexander Zverev is resuming his first-round match with France’s Arthur Rinderknech, locked at 1-set-all.
