Here’s Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic on Jonathan Mogbo’s first career double-double/development as a rookie after Sunday’s 120-109 road win vs. the Brooklyn Nets (17 points/11 rebounds/7 assists/zero turnovers/2 steals/2 blocks/8-9 FG/1-1 FT/+2 +/-).

“First of all, he’s a hard worker and he’s a great kid. He’s really coachable. He’s trying to improve. I was really proud of his defensive effort. When you look at the stat line with 11 rebounds, 7 assists, and 17 points — that stat line looks great, but he did a lot of great stuff defensively. Very active deflections, steals, and some blocked shots. He was really, really active rebounding the ball. Today, it was on (the) defensive end. But we know that he’s (a) really good offensive rebounder as well. So seeing his growth this year, playing position four, playing position five, we’re just constantly telling him, ‘You’re just a basketball player. Don’t overthink it. Go out there and play hard and play for your team.’ So, really proud of his development this year.”
