Milwaukee Bucks star guard Damian Lillard has officially been upgraded to questionable for Game 2 of the team’s first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, marking a potential return after more than a month on the sidelines.
Lillard has not appeared in a game since March 18 due to a medical issue that was later diagnosed as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a serious condition involving blood clots, typically in the legs.
Since the diagnosis, the 34-year-old has been undergoing treatment with blood thinners and has kept away from high-contact activity as a precaution.
However, in a positive development for Milwaukee, Lillard was recently cleared to resume full-contact practice – a significant step toward a potential return to game action.
With the Bucks currently down 0-1 in the best-of-seven series following a loss to the Pacers in Game 1, Lillard’s presence could provide a much-needed spark on both ends of the court.
The team has yet to confirm whether he will suit up Tuesday night, but his upgraded status signals that the All-Star guard is nearing full clearance.
Should he return, Lillard would bring not just elite scoring and leadership, but also vital playoff experience to a Milwaukee roster that has struggled with injuries and inconsistency late in the season.
Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday evening at Fiserv Forum, where the Bucks will look to even the series before heading to Indiana for Game 3.
