Clippers vs Suns injury report: Booker out for Sunday’s game

The Los Angeles Clippers travel to face the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, February 1, at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Game time has not been listed on the official schedule, but both teams enter with significant injury considerations.

Phoenix has already ruled out Devin Booker, who is sidelined with a right ankle sprain. Jalen Green is listed as questionable due to right hamstring injury management and a left hip contusion,.

Booker’s absence removes the team’s leading scorer, who averages 25.4 points and 6.2 assists per game across 41 appearances. Without him, Phoenix is expected to rely more heavily on Dillon Brooks, Grayson Allen, and Collin Gillespie for perimeter scoring.

Brooks enters the matchup averaging 21.1 points per game while playing over 30 minutes per night. Allen has provided consistent spacing with 16.5 points per game and 3.2 made three-pointers on 36.4 percent shooting from deep.

The Suns have won three of four games against the Clippers this season, including two victories in Los Angeles. Phoenix holds a 30-19 record and sits seventh in the Western Conference standings.

Los Angeles will be without several rotation players, including Bradley Beal, Derrick Jones Jr., Chris Paul, and TyTy Washington Jr. Beal is out with a left hip fracture after appearing in only six games this season.

James Harden and Kawhi Leonard remain available and continue to anchor the offense. Leonard leads the team at 27.7 points per game, while Harden averages 25.4 points and 8.1 assists in 44 starts.

Ivica Zubac provides interior stability, posting 14.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game while shooting over 60 percent from the field. John Collins adds 13.4 points per game and has been efficient in pick-and-roll situations.

The Clippers enter the contest with a 22-25 record and are currently 10th in the Western Conference. Los Angeles has won eight of its last ten games despite a 122-109 loss at Denver on January 30.

Phoenix is coming off consecutive home wins over Cleveland and Detroit, scoring at least 114 points in both games. The Suns average 114.2 points per game and shoot 36.4 percent from three as a team.
