The Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics will enter Sunday’s meeting at TD Garden with several major rotation pieces unavailable on both sides.
Los Angeles listed Bradley Beal and Kawhi Leonard as out, removing two of the team’s primary scorers from the lineup. Beal is out for a season with left hip fracture, while Leonard remains sidelined with a right ankle sprain.
The Clippers will also be without Jahmyl Telfort, who is on a two-way G League assignment. The absences leave Los Angeles relying heavily on James Harden, Ivica Zubac and a supporting group that has carried extended minutes during the first month of the season.
Boston will be without Jayson Tatum, who remains out following right Achilles repair. Jaylen Brown leads the Celtics with 27 points per game.
Ron Harper Jr., Max Shulga and Amari Williams will also miss the game as they remain on two-way G League duties.
The Clippers arrive at 4-8 after picking up two straight victories, including a double-overtime road win in Dallas. Harden has averaged 25 points and 9.1 assists, and Zubac continues to anchor the paint with 10.5 rebounds per game.
John Collins and Derrick Jones Jr. have absorbed additional responsibilities in the frontcourt, while Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kris Dunn have helped stabilize the second unit during a demanding portion of the schedule.
Boston enters the matchup at 6-7 after a strong performance against Memphis. Brown and Derrick White have led the backcourt, and Payton Pritchard has provided steady playmaking with 5.2 assists per game.
Neemias Queta has taken on a larger role inside, averaging 8.1 rebounds and offering rim protection for a team that has leaned on interior defense to compensate for Tatum’s absence.
Tipoff is set for 3:30 PM ET at TD Garden.
