The Boston Celtics are required to carry at least 14 players on standard contracts by Thursday, and one of those roster spots will go to a familiar addition, as Dalano Banton is set to sign a 10-day contract with the team.
Banton previously spent part of the 2023-24 season in Boston before being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers at the 2024 trade deadline.
Over the course of his career, he has also played for the Toronto Raptors and signed a 10-day contract with the LA Clippers earlier this season.
For most of this year, Banton has been competing in the G League with the Texas Legends, where he has put together strong performances.
Across 32 games, the 6-foot-8 guard has averaged 24.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
