The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without multiple rotation players when they host the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night at Rocket Arena.
According to the team’s official injury report, Darius Garland and Max Strus headline the absences. Garland is out due to left great toe injury management, while Strus remains sidelined following surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his left foot.
Lonzo Ball will also sit out for left knee injury management as part of his recovery plan, continuing his extended absence since joining the team in the offseason. Jaylon Tyson has been ruled out with a concussion, and two-way forward Chris Livingston is unavailable while on G League assignment.
Cleveland enters the matchup at 8–4, winning four of its last five games behind Donovan Mitchell’s elite scoring form. The All-Star guard has averaged 30.4 points and 5.4 assists this season, fueling the Cavaliers’ early push in the Eastern Conference standings.
Jarrett Allen is coming off a dominant performance in Miami, recording 30 points and 10 rebounds in Tuesday’s win. With Garland unavailable, Mitchell and Allen are expected to carry the offensive load, supported by Caris LeVert and Evan Mobley.
The visiting Raptors (6–5) will look to maintain their recent momentum after winning four of their last five games. Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, and Scottie Barnes have been driving Toronto’s attack, combining for over 60 points per game during that stretch.
Toronto’s injury report lists Sandro Mamukelashvili as questionable with neck stiffness, while rookie forward Collin Murray-Boyles is battling illness. Guard Ochai Agbaji remains day-to-day with lower back spasms.
The Raptors previously defeated the Cavaliers 112–101 on October 31, led by a balanced scoring effort from Ingram and Barrett. Cleveland will aim to even the season series while beginning a five-game homestand that includes meetings with Memphis and Milwaukee.
Tip-off between the Raptors and Cavaliers is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
