Casagrande leaves role as performance coach with Republic of Ireland

The FAI have confirmed that Ivi Casagrande has left her role as performance coach with the Republic of Ireland women’s team with immediate effect.

The former Brazil coach announced on Instagram that she is quitting the post after 18 months, to focus on “coach education and grassroots work” within Irish football.

The Association has revealed that former Aston Villa and Birmingham coach Holly Pickett has been appointed as Casagrande’s successor.
