Cameron Williams has officially committed to Duke as part of the 2026 recruiting class, choosing the Blue Devils over strong finalists Arizona and Texas.

Williams is widely regarded as the top power forward in the class and the No. 3 overall prospect, making him one of the most highly sought-after players in the cycle.

The 6’11 forward from Phoenix has drawn early comparisons to Jaden McDaniels due to his length, versatility, and two-way potential. The player explained to ESPN why Duke ultimately became his choice, pointing to both fit and development.

“Duke has everything I need to develop. They laid out a detailed plan on how I would fit,” Williams told ESPN.

“Offensively, they play a five-out system, and they see me on the perimeter using my skill, shooting ability and versatility – but I will go inside when I have the advantage. Defensively, I can switch and protect the rim.”

With his commitment, Williams joins fellow blue-chip prospects Bryson Howard (ranked No. 20 nationally) and Maxime Meyer in Duke’s growing 2026 class, giving the program another strong foundation for the future.
