The Olympic Federation of Ireland has called for “modernised tax measures” to help their athletes to compete at an elite level.
They’re requesting that Sport Ireland athletes receive a 50-thousand Euro tax credit to use during and after their careers.
Olympic Federation CEO Peter Sherrard says many are currently juggling part-time jobs while training to represent their country.
