Ger Brennan has emerged as the front-runner to succeed Dessie Farrell as Dublin senior football manager.

Brennan confirmed last night that he’s stepping down after an ‘extraordinary journey’ during his two years as Louth manager.

The Wee County landed their first Leinster title in 68 years in May, and the former All-Ireland winner with Dublin had the option of a third year in charge.
