Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan is reportedly considering a potential departure at the end of the season, according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.
North Carolina had initially targeted Arizona’s Tommy Lloyd for its head coaching vacancy, but after Lloyd agreed to a new five-year deal to remain with the Wildcats, Donovan has emerged as the Tar Heels’ top candidate.
Donovan is expected to remain focused on Chicago through the end of the regular season and won’t make a decision about his future until April 12, Siegel notes.
Still, there is increasing league-wide sentiment that he may ultimately move on from the Bulls.
