
Desmond Bane scored 23 points with five steals and Anthony Black added 21 off the bench as the Orlando Magic defeated the Golden State Warriors 121-113 on Tuesday night at the Kia Center.
Orlando had six players score at least 13 points, balancing Stephen Curry’s 34 points and nine assists with Jimmy Butler’s 33 points for Golden State.
Franz Wagner contributed 18 points and eight rebounds, while Wendell Carter Jr. added a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards as the Magic improved to 8-7.
Tristan da Silva scored 15 points and Jalen Suggs finished with 13 points and eight assists, helping Orlando maintain a 50.6% shooting mark despite making just eight of 32 from three-point range.
The Magic led by 15 in the second quarter, but Curry closed the half with three 3-pointers and two free throws to pull Golden State within 67-60 at halftime.
Orlando pulled away in the fourth after Curry went almost 12 minutes without scoring following a late third-quarter layup, building a 115-101 advantage before a late three from Curry.
Golden State was missing Jonathan Kuminga for a third straight game due to a knee injury, while Orlando played without Paolo Banchero, sidelined with a groin strain.
The Magic outrebounded the Warriors 43-36 and generated 14 assists from a balanced attack, offsetting Golden State’s 28 assists and 36 turnovers.
Curry finished 12-of-23 from the field with seven of 15 from deep, but Golden State’s cold stretch from three after early success limited their comeback chances.
Orlando will host the LA Clippers on Thursday, while Golden State heads to Miami on Wednesday, looking to bounce back from a fourth loss in seven games.
