In a tense match, Vinicius then had the chance to win the game for Real Madrid but smashes an AWFUL penalty well over the bar to keep Atletico alive.
Arsenal will play the winners of this game after they drew 2-2 with PSV to go through 9-3 on aggregate after last week’s 7-1 win.
Aston Villa will face Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-final after an impressive 3-0 win against Club Brugge, while Borussia Dortmund also progresses after beating Lille in the early game.

It was the first time Mbappe had been given any space all night and he made the hosts pay.
The noise in here after that horrendous miss is just as loud as after Gallagher’s goal.

It’s just as well Villa have that one man advantage because Brugge have spent most of the first half on the front foot.
Even with 10 men the Belgians have enjoyed 60% of possession against a Villa side who seem strangely on edge.
However Marcus Rashford finished the half by smashing a shot into the Brugge side net and hopefully there were signs at the end of the half that Brugge might be wilting a little.
Unai Emery has sent on Marco Asensio and Leon Bailey for Ollie Watkins, who was injured and Boubacar Kamara.
But on this evidence PSG won’t be having sleepless nights about facing Villa on this form.
