
EA7 Emporio Armani Milan overcame multiple setbacks to defeat LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 80-72 on Wednesday night at the Unipol Forum in EuroLeague Round 10 action.
Milan entered the game severely depleted, missing Marko Guduric and Zach LeDay through injury while head coach Ettore Messina, Shavon Shields, and Ousmane Diop were sidelined by illness. Assistant coach Peppe Poeta stepped in and guided the Italian side to its third consecutive victory.
Armoni Brooks led all scorers with a career-high 23 points, connecting on 5-of-8 from beyond the arc while adding six assists. Josh Nebo, returning from injury, energized the hosts early with a powerful put-back dunk to help Milan jump to a 7-0 start.
Despite leading from start to finish, Milan made its fans sweat through the final minutes. The hosts committed 14 turnovers and surrendered 14 offensive rebounds, allowing ASVEL to stay within reach until the closing possessions.
Leandro Bolmaro added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Devin Booker and Diego Flaccadori combined for 18 points.
For ASVEL, guard Glynn Watson scored 25 points to keep the visitors competitive, while Armel Traore added 19. The French side was short-handed as well, missing Nando De Colo, Edwin Jackson, and Thomas Heurtel, while Shaquille Harrison dressed but did not play.
Milan improved to 5-5 on the season and will face Olympiacos Piraeus at home on Friday. ASVEL dropped to 2-8 and will return to Villeurbanne to host Partizan in Round 11.
