Milwaukee Bucks guard Andre Jackson Jr. has earned a fully guaranteed $2.22 million salary for the 2025–26 season after impressing during training camp, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported Monday.

Jackson, 23, won a roster battle to maintain his spot with the Bucks and gain the trust of head coach Doc Rivers. Last season, he appeared in 67 games, starting 43, and averaged 3.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while shooting 39.5% from three-point range.

The Bucks finalized their roster by waiving 20-year-old forward Tyler Smith, their 2024 second-round pick, ahead of Monday’s cutdown deadline. Smith’s release secures spots for Jackson and Amir Coffey.

Jackson’s defensive versatility and ability to start when needed were critical in his retention. Rivers’ rotation now features stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Myles Turner, Kyle Kuzma, and Gary Trent Jr., alongside emerging players including Cole Anthony, A.J. Green, and Jackson as a reliable wing option.

With Jackson’s guaranteed deal and the roster set, the Bucks are positioned to open the 2025–26 season with a 15-man squad featuring a mix of established talent and dependable contributors.
