Luka Doncic dropped a season-high 52 points, adding 10 assists and seven rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 132- 123 win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday night.
The 27-year-old Slovenian made several big baskets late in the fourth quarter to help his team win for the eighth time in their last nine games against Utah.
Doncic finished a 14-5 go-ahead run with back-to-back triples that gave a 127-121 lead with 1:42 left.
Austin Reaves added 29 points, combining the backcourt duo for a total of 21 of 24 free throws.
On the other hand, Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with 28 points, who blew and 18-point second-quarter lead.
Keyonte George contributed 24 points, nine rebounds, and 10 assists. Jaren Jackson Jr. added 20 points, while Ace Bailey had 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Doncic hit another three-point play with 4.1 seconds left in the half to give the Lakers their first lead at 74-71.
Meanwhile, Walker Kessler had only two points and seven rebounds in his first game back in Utah after being sent to Los Angeles in a sign-and-trade deal in July.
Both teams will play home games in their next matchups: the Lakers against Portland on Tuesday, while the Jazz host Memphis on Monday.
