The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly considering potential trades as they prepare to finalize their roster ahead of the 2026-27 NBA regular season.
According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks are exploring possible deals to address their roster situations.
The Charlotte Hornets are also above the roster limit and have yet to decide on veteran Pat Connaughton’s future.
Los Angeles entered training camp with 16 players on standard, guaranteed NBA contracts, meaning the team must remove at least one player before Monday’s roster deadline.
NBA teams can carry up to 21 players during the preseason but must reduce their rosters to a maximum of 15 standard contracts, along with three two-way players, before the regular season.
The Lakers will open their campaign next Wednesday at home against the Golden State Warriors.
Dalton Knecht, Jaden Hardy and Bronny James have been mentioned as potential candidates to leave the team.
