Brandin Podziemski has agreed to a five-year, $110 million fully guaranteed contract extension with the Golden State Warriors, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Saturday.

The agreement, confirmed by Podziemski’s agent, Bill Duffy of WME Basketball, includes a mutual option for the fifth season in 2031-32 and a trade kicker. The deal secures the 23-year-old guard’s future with Golden State as the franchise continues building around its veteran core.

The extension comes ahead of the October 19 deadline for players eligible for rookie-scale extensions. The Warriors and Podziemski had been negotiating while weighing the guard’s long-term value against the organization’s efforts to maintain financial flexibility.

Anthony Slater previously reported that both sides were optimistic about reaching an agreement. One consideration was Podziemski’s projected $17.5 million cap hold for the 2027 offseason, which could have affected Golden State’s plans if the two sides had not reached an extension.

The reported $110 million agreement represents a significant commitment to a player who has steadily expanded his role since the Warriors selected him with the 19th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

Podziemski made progress in each of his first three NBA seasons, culminating in a career-high scoring average in 2025-26.

He appeared in all 82 regular-season games last season, starting 43, and averaged 13.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 28.5 minutes per game. He shot 45.5% from the field and 37.1% from three-point range while averaging 1.1 steals.

Those numbers marked an increase from his first two seasons. Podziemski averaged 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists as a rookie in 2023-24 before raising his scoring average to 11.7 points in 2024-25.

Across 220 regular-season appearances, including 104 starts, he has averaged 11.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 37.5% from beyond the arc.

Podziemski has become part of a Warriors rotation featuring Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, Kristaps Porzingis and Draymond Green. His new contract keeps a younger contributor in place alongside the franchise’s established stars.

Golden State has made several major financial commitments around its veteran players. Curry signed a two-year, $116 million extension in September, Porzingis received a two-year, $40 million extension, and Green re-signed on a one-year, $27.68 million contract.

The Warriors have also been operating close to the league’s second-apron hard cap, with approximately $348,000 in room according to the previously reported figures.
