The New York Knicks will return most of the roster that won the championship last season, although their center rotation has undergone an important change.
Mitchell Robinson is no longer with the team after spending several years in New York, with veteran Andre Drummond brought in as his replacement.
Robinson provided strong rebounding and interior defense, but Drummond could give the Knicks some different options in the frontcourt.
Like Robinson, Drummond has consistently been an effective offensive rebounder.
He doesn’t provide the same threat around the rim, but his ability to shoot could create additional space for New York’s offensive players.
Head coach Mike Brown also has other options when adjusting his frontcourt lineups.
OG Anunoby could continue receiving minutes as a small-ball center, giving the Knicks a smaller and more versatile lineup.
Mohamed Diawara provides another possibility at power forward.
Brown could use him alongside one of New York’s traditional centers, giving the team several different frontcourt combinations during the season.
