South Africa got the better of old foes New Zealand collide as the first “Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry” tour ended in a 3-1 success for the world champions.
The Springboks and All Blacks have reached a reciprocal touring agreement that will see the pair clash in a number of Tests every four years.
The first edition saw Dave Rennie’s side head for South African soil to take on four United Rugby Championship sides alongside a quartet of clashes with Rassie Erasmus’s side.
The fourth of those fixtures, which brings together the World Cup finalists from three years ago, took place in Baltimore on the east coast of the United States, and was again won by the Springboks as they fought back from 1-0 down to lift the trophy.
