Rathmore have qualified for the Senior Club Football Championship final.
They defeated Milltown/Castlemaine 2-21 to 0-11 at Legion.
A Paul Murphy two pointer for Rathmore was the opening score of the encounter. Ciaran Collins also had an early two pointer as Rathmore opened up a 5-1 advantage. It was 6 points to 2 midway through the half. Cathal Ryan registered a Rathmore two pointer in the 22nd minute to make it 9 to 2. Two minutes from the break Fionn Murphy netted to give Rathmore a 1-11 to 0-3 advantage. At half time it was 1-12 to 0-3.
8 minutes into the second period the lead stood at 11; 1-14 to 0-6. The gap was still 11 with 12 minutes to go at 1-16 to 0-8. Seven minutes from time Mark Reen grabbed a second goal of the day for Rathmore. Rathmore won by 16.
