Tyler Dorsey’s future with Olympiacos remains uncertain as he enters the final season of his contract, which is set to expire in the summer of 2027.
Despite his value as one of the top Greek players available to domestic clubs, Dorsey revealed that he and Olympiacos are currently far from reaching an agreement on an extension.
“My goal is never to do anything for those reasons”, Dorsey said when asked whether his contract situation gives him additional motivation this season.
He emphasized that his approach remains unchanged regardless of what happens with his next contract.
“I play the same every year. I do the same things every year. At the moment, we are nowhere near a deal. I told them I want to stay here since the season ended. That is out of my control. I can only control the things that depend on me. So, we are where we are.
“For my future, we will see what happens. My concentration is not there. Just to start the season in the best way possible and do what I usually do. I am not changing tactics in terms of certain things. My mentality is the same.”
Dorsey has made his preference to remain with Olympiacos clear, but the lack of progress could eventually open the door for other Greek clubs.
