The Philadelphia 76ers have added three players to their training camp roster, announcing Tuesday that they signed center Tacko Fall, guard Jameer Nelson Jr. and forward Saint Thomas.
All three players received training camp invites, giving Philadelphia additional competition and depth as the team prepares for the 2026-27 season.
Fall brings the most extensive professional experience of the group. The 7-foot-6 center has played in the NBA, G League and overseas, most recently spending the 2025-26 season with the Ningbo Rockets after previously playing for the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Xinjiang Flying Tigers, Nanjing Monkey Kings and New Zealand Breakers.
Fall’s most productive recent season came in the G League with the Cleveland Charge in 2021-22, when he averaged 15.8 points and 10.9 rebounds in 31 games while shooting 75.5% from the field. He followed that with a strong 2022-23 campaign in China, averaging 13.9 points and 10.2 rebounds in 34 games for Xinjiang.
During the 2025-26 season, Fall averaged 11.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 38 games for Ningbo, playing 16.9 minutes per game and shooting 80.7% from the field.
Nelson enters camp after a productive 2025-26 season split among several teams. The guard averaged 18.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 25 games for the Stockton Kings, shooting 47.5% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range.
Nelson also played internationally during the season, averaging 20.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 15 games for the Osos de Manati in Puerto Rico. His previous professional experience includes the Austin Spurs and Calgary Surge.
Thomas spent the 2025-26 season with the Delaware Blue Coats, Philadelphia’s G League affiliate. He averaged 10.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 47 games while shooting 47.8% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range.
Thomas has also played collegiately at Loyola Chicago, Northern Colorado and USC. His strongest college statistical season came at Northern Colorado in 2023-24, when he averaged 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
The three additions arrive after Philadelphia went 45-37 during the 2025-26 regular season, earning the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers defeated the Boston Celtics in seven games in the first round before being swept 4-0 by the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Philadelphia’s core last season was led by Tyrese Maxey, who averaged 28.3 points and 6.6 assists in 70 games. Joel Embiid averaged 26.9 points and 7.7 rebounds in 38 games, while rookie VJ Edgecombe posted 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 75 starts.
Fall, Nelson and Thomas will now have an opportunity to compete for roster spots during training camp, with their performances determining whether they can earn a role with the 76ers beyond the preseason.
