Liverpool have agreed to sign Belgian goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans.
They will loan the 18-year-old back to Genk for the rest of the season before he arrives at Anfield.
Liverpool will pay a nominal initial fee for Brughmans, but it will be supplemented by bonuses which could reportedly take the package to £30m.
Brughmans has agreed a six-year contract as Liverpool try to plan for the future, with first-choice goalkeeper Alisson in the last year of his contract.
Brughmans came through the Genk academy, as Thibaut Courtois did before him, and became their first-choice goalkeeper at the end of last season.
Liverpool signed another emerging goalkeeper, Armin Pesci, last year and see Brughmans as part of a strategy of bringing in talented young goalkeepers with the potential to develop further.
Centre-backs Mor Talla N’Diaye and Ifeanyi Ndukwe, who both impressed in pre-season, are also part of a new crop of players after they sold several of their younger talents last summer.
